Weather Station Crestron Driver — Integrator Setup (v1.0)

Purchase

  1. Open valethon.com/drivers/weather.
  2. Click Buy now ($40/site perpetual) or assign SKU crestron_weather_driver_site via Service Stack.
  3. Keep the emailed vcd_… license key and purchase email.

There is no Valethon admin weather screen. Commission location, units, thresholds, and optional BYO WeatherKit in Crestron Home Setup.

Install

  1. Import Valethon.Weather.Driver.pkg in Crestron Home Setup → Drivers → Import.
  2. Add the device from Add Device → Weather Station (not Drivers → Extensions). Choose Valethon → Valethon Weather Station.
  3. Set License Key, Platform URL (https://platform.valethon.com), Address (street preferred; ZIP accepted), Location Label, and Units. Operating mode valethon is the commercial gateway. Latitude/longitude are optional rooftop overrides.

Crestron Home house Location is not exposed to Extension drivers. Geocode must return a result. Refresh is every 15 minutes.

Additional rooms

Add one Weather Station per site and show it in other rooms. A second station commissioned at the same Address shares the 15-minute fetch cache (Apple is not polled twice).

Upgrade

Import the new PKG over the installed driver. Saved fields persist by ParameterId. If only ZIP (if Address is empty) is filled, copy it into Address and save.

BYO WeatherKit

Operating Mode byo plus Team ID, Service ID, Key ID, .p8 PEM, and latitude/longitude. Credentials stay on the processor. The vcd_… license is still required.
